CEI Names Congressman Denham a Pro-Worker Legislator

Sep 22, 2011

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Denham has been recognized by the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) for his 100% pro-worker legislative score.  For his distinguished service, Rep. Denham was honored on Capitol Hill yesterday afternoon as a Congressional Member with the highest scores on the WorkplaceChoice Congressional Labor Scorecard.

“With double-digit unemployment in my area, I understand the importance of freeing employees from burdensome government regulations,” said Rep. Denham. “I am honored to receive this award from the Competitive Enterprise Institute and look forward to continuing to fight to decrease regulations while creating incentives to spur economic productivity and growth.”

Labor Policy Counsel Vincent Vernuccio called the event a great success, “It was an honor to present awards to Congressmen who have consistently stood up for workers’ rights. We applaud the 159 congressmen who maintained 100 percent pro-worker score thus far during the 112th congress and sincerely appreciate the 25 Representatives who took time out of their busy day to pick up their certificates.”
