Congressman Denham to Hold Central Valley Job Fair on Wednesday in Turlock

Featuring over 40 local employers seeking new hires

(Modesto, CA) – U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) is holding a Central Valley Job Fair facilitated by the Stanislaus Economic Development & Workforce Alliance (the Alliance) on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Stanislaus County Fair Grounds in Turlock, CA to provide an opportunity for job seekers to meet face-to-face with employers looking for new hires in the region. 

“Looking for work is a difficult and often frustrating experience. We want to help make the process easier by hosting these events to provide an opportunity for job seekers to meet face-to-face with employers looking for new hires in the Valley,” said Denham. “My top priority is to ensure that Valley residents and veterans have the employment opportunities they need. This event will be free and open to veterans, active military, students and the public.”

The Job Fair will take place on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Stanislaus County Fair Grounds.  Employers will be accepting resumes and meeting with interested applicants throughout the fair.  The event will be open to the public, and participants are encouraged to bring several copies of their resume and wear business attire.
