Congressman Denham Receives NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award
WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) was honored today by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) as a recipient of the 2013 Guardian of Small Business Award for his outstanding record of support for pro-growth, pro-business legislation in the House of Representatives.
The NFIB presents their Guardian of Small Business Award to Members of Congress who voted in support of small business issues at least 70 percent of the time during the 112th Congress.
“It’s a privilege to join my colleagues in the House and Senate in working on pro-growth, job-creating legislation that will help our small businesses at home get our country back on track,” said Representative Denham. “The Valley’s small business owners are our job creators, and I will continue to support legislation that will provide them with the certainty they need to not only keep our family and friends working, but to expand and innovate for a brighter and more secure future.”
“The record shows that Rep. Denham is a true champion of small business, having stood strong on the key small-business votes in the 112th Congress,” said NFIB President and CEO Dan Danner. “The Guardian of Small Business Award is a legislative award given to U.S. Representatives and Senators who vote to promote and protect the right of small-business owners to own, operate, and grow their business.”
Founded in 1943 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, the NFIB is the nation’s leading small business association. To view a complete list of this year’s award winners, along with their voting record on key small business issues, please go online to http://www.NFIB.com/hcv.
