Denham Honors Manteca’s Agape Villages as Angel in Adoption
WASHINGTON — U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) today presented Agape Villages of Manteca with the Angel in Adoption award recognizing their efforts to provide compassionate foster care for 10th district children.
“Thousands of children have benefitted from the dedication of Agape Villages,” said Rep. Denham. “Their work for the children of our community is inspirational and it was an honor to have the opportunity to nominate them for this prestigious award.”
Rep. Denham nominated Agape Villages for their commitment to use the most current and effective strategies to support and promote a healthy future in the lives of the children they serve. Agape Villages provides a nurturing environment for abused and neglected children waiting to be reunified with biological families, be adopted or become emancipated as necessary. The organization connects children with caring foster families and helps to strengthen those families, and in the interim, provides children with the environment they need to prepare for their bright futures.
“Agape Villages Foster Family Agency would like to thank Congressman Jeff Denham and his staff for their recognition of our lifelong commitment and passion, which is finding healthy, loving families for foster and adoptive children," said Joann Beattie, senior vice president of resource and development for Agape Villages.
About Angels in Adoption:
The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) is a 501(c)3 nonpartisan organization dedicated to raising awareness about the tens of thousands of orphans and foster children in the United States and the millions of orphans around the world in need of permanent, safe, and loving homes through adoption. CCAI’s goal is the elimination of the barriers that hinder these children from realizing their basic right of a family.
The Angels in Adoption program is CCAI’s signature public awareness campaign and provides an opportunity for all members of the U.S. Congress to honor the good work of their constituents who have enriched the lives of foster children and orphans in the United States and abroad. CCAI does not receive any government funding and they rely on the generous support of foundations, corporations, and individuals to accomplish their mission.
